The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA) are hosting the upcoming AI Asia Expo, Thailand and AI Asia Expo, Philippines, in partnership with the organiser, LOD Events. These events bring together local and international businesses to create a platform for businesses to explore the opportunities in the AI industry, in these burgeoning markets.

The key features of the events include hybrid showcases for the exhibitions, networking and collaboration zones for businesses to meet and explore opportunities together, and conferences for leadership sharing on 4 main verticals: Agriculture, Healthcare, eCommerce and Smart Warehousing, and Metaverse, together with AI Asia Hackathon that will gather the best ideas in the region.

The local government is invested in the development of Al and together with the rest of ASEAN, is developing a roadmap for the Al sphere to continue to flourish as an emerging key driver of Industry 4.0 cyber-physical systems.

With an ageing population, increased consumer demand for better care, and a possibility of new future pandemics, there is a pressing need for cutting-edge medical technology and AI is the key to revolutionising the industry to deploy more precise, efficient, and impactful interventions in a patient’s care. 

The agriculture sector has been initiating smart farming by applications of advanced technologies in order to improve the overall yield of the crops. AI is an essential technology in smart farming that is being implemented and deployed for more sustainable use of available resources. AI in agriculture presents several enticing benefits, and it is expected for countries within the region, especially those that rely heavily on agricultural practices, to explore this technology on a larger scale.  

The application of AI in eCommerce has been changing the global shopping experiences for consumers in recent years. While the demand is expanding perpetually, the suppliers have also been keeping up with the pace by leveraging AI in the supply chain process, especially warehousing.
