Dr. Sak Segkhoonthod, Ph.D

Dr. Sak Segkhoonthod received a Ph. D in Electronics Systems Engineering from Essex University in 1997. He was hired immediately after his university by National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) as a researcher at the Network Technology Laboratory. In 2000, he was involved in setting up of the Government Information Technology Services (GITS) and eventually became the director of GITS in 2005. In 2012, he became the first CEO of the Electronic Government Agency (EGA) which turned into the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) in 2018. In 2019, he was listed as one of the World’s 100 Most Influential People in Digital Government. He is now an Advisor (Digital Transformation) at the Electronics Transaction Development Agency.
